Year 11 2013 – Blocking Sheet
When selecting your subjects for 2013:
Choose no more than one subject from each block (with the exception of Block 3 where you may choose any two of Mathematics Extension 1, English Extension 1, Studies of Religion 1 Unit and English Fundamentals) Follow the guidelines below.
Preliminary/HSC Requirements
Preliminary (Year 11) pattern of study comprising at least 12 units
HSC (Year 12) pattern of study comprising at least 10 units
Both Preliminary and HSC courses must include:
- at least six units from Board Developed Courses;
- at least two units of a Board Developed Course in English;
- at least three courses of two units value or greater (either Board Developed or Board Endorsed Courses); and
- at least four subjects
- a maximum of six units from courses in Science (no minimum requirement)
To receive an ATAR:
- a maximum of 2 units of Category B courses can be included
- NO Category O courses can be included
