A relaxed and elegant afternoon welcoming alumni and past mothers back to Stella. Join us under the figs for a special High Tea to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate our shared history across decades.
The afternoon begins at 1.00pm with a special service to remember former classmates and staff who have passed away. From there, choose how you would like to spend your afternoon — attend the service, enjoy a tour and drinks, or indulge in a beautifully catered High Tea experience.

Our Legacy of Lights Gala Ball celebrates our 95 years in style.
The Gala Ball, to be held at the Manly Pacific Hotel will be a highlight of the year— bringing together past and present members of the Stella community for a night of connection and celebration. Further details and tickets coming soon.
Bronte Halligan made her debut for the Aussie Stingers Water Polo team in 2014 at 17 years of age. She has been representing Australia through the junior ranks.
After finishing high school, Bronte embarked on an international water polo career at UCLA to gain international experience and study. She studied Psychology with a minor in Disability Studies at UCLA. Now a senior member of the Aussie Stingers squad, Halligan made her Olympic debut at the Tokyo Olympic Games and is part of the Aussie Stingers leadership group. Paris 2024 was her second Olympic Games, returning home with a silver medal.
Captain Bernadette Alexander joined the Navy in 1988, graduating from the Australian Defence Force Academy with a Science degree. She holds dual qualifications as a Maritime Welfare Officer and Management Executive (Capability Development) Officer.
Her service history includes sea postings to HMA Ships Mermaid, Melbourne, Brunei, Success, Wollongong and Fremantle, with staff postings ashore in Darwin, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. She has been involved in Minor War Vessel and infrastructure projects. Her operational experience includes border protection operations in Northern Australia and a deployment to Bahrain as Military Assistant to the Commander Combined Task Force 150.
She has served as Navy Women’s Strategic Advisor to Chief of Navy and as the Commanding Officer HMAS Penguin 2019 to 2021. On promotion to Captain, she assumed the position of Director Minor War Vessels, Littoral Branch in Navy Capability Division, Canberra. Her current posting is as Chief of Staff to Jim McDowell, Deputy Secretary Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group.
Captain Alexander graduated from the RAN Staff Acquaint Course, Australian Command and Staff College, in 2012. She is a 2013 graduate of the Capability Technology and Management College, with a Masters of Capability Management, University of New South Wales (and was awarded the UNSW academic course award). In 2014, she completed a Masters of Systems Engineering (UNSW).
She has received two Silver Commendations for her roles as Port Services Manager, Darwin and Project Manager, Capability Development Group. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
