Scholarships

Stella Maris College awards General Excellence Scholarships each year. Scholarships are awarded in Years 7 and 10 based on high levels of achievement. Recipients must demonstrate alignment with the College’s guiding values and be willing to use their gifts for the benefit of the Stella Maris community.

Junior General Excellence Scholarships – from Year 7 2026

These scholarships (for full or part remission of the tuition fee) are awarded for Years 7, 8 and 9.

Applications open in Term 1 for students commencing high school the following year. Applicants will sit an examination in Term 1 of Year 6 with shortlisted candidates invited to an interview. Successful applicants will be advised by the end of Term 1.

Senior General Excellence Scholarships

These scholarships (for full or part remission of the tuition fee) are awarded for Years 10, 11 and 12. They are open to internal applicants.

Applications open in Term 3 of each year. Applicants will sit a scholarship examination in Term 3 with shortlisted candidates invited to an interview. All successful applicants will be advised in Term 3. Further information, including the application link, will be provided via the College App.

Years 8 and 9 Scholarship for internal Year 7 students (offered for the final time in 2025)

This scholarship is open to current Year 7 Stella students with tenure for Years 8 and 9. This Scholarship will be awarded for the final time in 2025 as we move to a new Junior General Excellence Scholarship program (outlined above). This scholarship is subject to annual review. Parents will be provided the application link via the App. Please note the following dates:

Bursary Program

Stella offers bursary assistance to families who could not otherwise afford a Stella Maris education. A limited number of bursaries are available to current families from Year 7 to Year 12 at an agreed percentage discount on school fees. They are awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial merit and/or need. The program is administered by the Finance Committee and the College Principal who will determine the value, number and duration of each bursary on an annual basis.
