General questions

How many students do you have?

Currently, we have 1020 students from Years 7-12 with approximately 190 students in Years 7 - 10 and 120+ in Years 11 and 12. International students also contribute to the diversity of our College.

What is your mobile phone policy?

We have established an Acceptable Use Protocols for Mobile Phones that provides teachers, students and parents with guidelines and instructions for the appropriate use of mobile phones at school. Please read the details here.

Does my daughter have to be a Catholic to attend Stella?

We are a Catholic school; however, you don’t have to be Catholic to attend Stella. We ask that families support our values of Hospitality, Community, Stewardship, Peace and Justice. Our students study Religion in Years 7-10 and Studies of Religion in Year 11. Year 12 students choose if they wish to continue Studies of Religion as part of their Higher School Certificate.

    Enrolment specific questions

When should I enrol my daughter?

It is never too early to join our Enrolment Register. Due to strong demand for places at Stella Maris, we encourage you to complete the online Registration Form as soon as possible, preferably before your daughter is in Year 4. Families on our Enrolment Register will receive automatic notification when the formal enrolment process commences (when students are in Year 4).

If my daughter is on a wait list, what is your selection order?

Consideration for enrolment is given to:

    • Students from local Catholic primary schools
    • Sisters of students already at the College
    • Daughters and grand daughters of former students
    • Students who are committed to the Catholic faith
    • Applications thereafter according to date of registration
I have missed the closing date to apply for Year 7 entry. Can I still submit an application?

Yes, late applications are accepted for our wait list. To gauge a better understanding of the enrolment status of particular year levels, please visit our Enrolments page.
