Water Polo

A huge congratulations to our Stella junior water polo team, crowned NSWCCC and CGSSSA Water Polo Champions for 2025!

The team competed in the combined NSWCCC/CGSSSA Junior (Years 7–9) Water Polo Championships at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Tuesday, 11 November. Stella dominated throughout the day, going undefeated in the round games, including an impressive 11–1 win over St Scholastica’s in the semi final.

Touch Football - Ellie Selected in Australian All Schools team!

Congratulations to Ellie F (Year 9) who has been selected into the Australian All Schools Touch Football Merit team!

Ellie recently travelled to Ballarat in Victoria to play in the NSW All Schools U15 touch team at the Australian All Schools Touch Championships. Ellie is a talented athlete, and she had a exceptional tournament with the NSW team. She was strong in defence, and with her skill and lightning speed, she was unstoppable in attack! She played a starring role in her team's grand final win against the Queensland team – bringing home the gold medal and earning selection into the Australian team! Congratulations on this amazing achievement Ellie!

      Aquathon

The CGSSSA Aquathon was held at Merrylands Park and Pool on Wednesday 5 November. Stella had a huge team competing at this event, which involves a run and swim.

Some of the students chose to do the challenging individual event, where they complete both the run and swim. They all pushed themselves hard and achieved amazing results. Well done to our individual competitors:

      Piper B (junior): 2nd 🥈

      Charlie C (junior): 4th

      Evelyn B (junior): 8th

      Charli S: (intermediate): 4th

Stella had the largest number of teams from any school, with ten junior teams, four intermediate teams and three senior teams. The teams are made up of two students, one completing the run, the other in the swim. The Stella team results were also amazing, especially in the senior division, where the Stella teams had a clean sweep – winning the gold, silver and bronze medals! Congratulation to all of the teams on competing in this tough event. Special mention to our medal winners on the day:

      Senior teams:

      🥇GOLD: Jess O and Amelia M

      🥈SILVER: Zara D and Bella R

      🥉BRONZE: Sarah C and Mila C

      Junior teams:

      🥉BRONZE: Emily C and Florence W

        Golf

Congratulations to Jade B who competed at the inaugural IGSA Golf Championships at Pennant Hills Golf Course on Thursday 6 November. It was a great event with a high level of golf! Jade had fantastic results, finishing 4th and 11th in the two competitions, from a huge field of golfers. Well done Jade on this very impressive achievement!
