Dear Parents and Carers,
It is hard to believe we are already halfway through the term. Reaching this point is a good reminder to pause and appreciate all that has been achieved so far, while also looking forward to what lies ahead. Our community is at its best when we come together—whether at events, celebrations, or simply in the everyday moments of school life. These occasions do more than connect us; they show our girls what it means to belong to a community that is caring, committed, and supportive. When they see their parents and families engaging so wholeheartedly, they in turn are inspired to embrace their own learning with greater enthusiasm, to take up opportunities with confidence, and to recognise that they are part of something bigger than themselves. I warmly encourage you to continue to be present in these moments, as together we create the culture that allows every girl to flourish.
With this in mind, the coming weeks provide a number of opportunities for us to gather, celebrate, and support one another. I hope you can join us at these events and share in the experiences that make our community so special.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 12 students, who have approached their Trial Examinations with focus, resilience, and determination (even if accompanied by a little nervousness!). These exams marked their first experience with extended, three-hour assessments—a true milestone in their HSC journey.
To our Year 12 families and teachers—thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement during this important time. We wish our students well as they now move into the extensive feedback phase of their assessments, working to apply what they have learned and refine their skills in preparation for their HSC exams in Term 4.
On Tuesday evening, our school was transformed into a gallery of imagination and innovation as the remarkable talents of our Years 10, 11 and 12 students were showcased at the annual Bodies of Work Evening. From Textiles to Visual Arts and Design and Technology, the depth of creativity and skill on display was nothing short of inspiring. For our Year 12 students in particular, this was a milestone moment—the culmination of many months of dedication, from the earliest ideas through to the final execution of their HSC major works. Each piece reflected not only technical ability but also the passion, persistence, and originality of its creator.
This wonderful evening was held in our new Polding Centre, a true celebration of the multi-dimensional purpose of this space—not only as a hub for learning, but as a venue where creativity, community and culture come together. The atmosphere on the night was filled with pride and admiration, as parents, staff and students shared in the joy of seeing such extraordinary work brought to life. We are deeply grateful to the parents and carers who have supported and encouraged their daughters throughout this journey, nurturing the confidence to pursue and showcase their creative talents.
We are excited to invite you to our Father’s Day Breakfast on Friday 5 September, beginning at 7:30am. This much-loved tradition is a wonderful way to start the day, bringing together fathers, grandfathers and father-figures with their daughters for a morning of good food, laughter and community spirit. It’s a chance to celebrate the special role these men play in our lives and to share in the joy of connection before the busy day begins. We look forward to seeing many of you there to make this a truly memorable occasion.
If you have not yet RSVP'd, please take the time to do so by Friday 29 August via the link below to assist us with catering.
Get ready for a spectacular celebration of music and talent as our College comes alive with Broadway hits at this year’s Cabaret Evening! On Thursday 4 and Friday 5 September, our amazing Performing Arts Department, alongside our talented students and staff, will take the stage to showcase the creativity, skill and passion that make our school community so vibrant.
This is more than a performance—it’s an opportunity for us to come together, celebrate the dedication of our students, and enjoy the joy of shared creativity. The Cabaret Evening promises to be a highlight of the term, full of energy, entertainment and inspiration.
Tickets are on sale now via the link below or through the App—don’t miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable celebration of talent and community!
Embrace every opportunity, support one another, and make this Term 3 a time of growth and achievement. As we look ahead, may the weeks to come be filled with these same values—curiosity, courage, and connection. Let us continue to encourage one another, strive for excellence, and make the most of the rich opportunities within our vibrant College community. Together, we create an environment where every student can flourish. Wishing you all a purposeful and fulfilling Term 3.
Warm regards,
